........coming in from the storm...........

I arrived back at Sloan-Kettering on Monday morning July 26th at 7:30 AM for a RPLND surgery.

This surgery lasted 9 hours.

Between surgery and this writing Hashem has shown me His kindness, His mercy, His compassion, His love as well as the gates of gehenom.

These days have been beyond this world and I have been unable to write about them.....

All I can say at this time......

Is that thanks to my AMAZING Ayshet Chayil Lisa and the merciful hand of The Ribbono Sh'Olam....

I'm coming home......on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Elul no less....

Elul which is spelled Ayin, Lamed, Vav, Lamed....

The acronym of which is Ani L'dodi V'dodi Li....I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine.....

My beloved Lisa is THE reason I am typing these words....Lisa who sent me to the doctor....

Lisa....my soulmate....the other half of my neshama....the one who completes me.

My most precious Sil...you saved me!!!!

How fitting is it that we will soon return home on the eve of Elul....on the eve of our 23rd year of marital joy, love and harmony when we celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary on August 23rd B'ZH.

It is all so amazing!

Elul is also a time when we literally commune with The Almighty....hand in hand so to speak....here in this world....

......one of the most joyous months on our calender.

I pray that Lisa and I can be blanketed by the love for one another and by Hashem's divine love for us the rest of our days.

sign after sign after sign after sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HASHEM IS GREAT AND TRULY HEARS OUR PRAYERS!!!!!!!

I'm coming home!!!!!!!!!!

B'simcha

  1. baruch hashem michael wachs.. my heart took a leap.. i continue to pray for you lisa, adam and danielle. As the tears stream down my face for you now. I spoke to your dear mom just this am. As a mom, i wondered how could she have be feeling last Last monday... when the world stood still and we all focused our energy and prayers that hashem would not only let you have a successful surgery but also as if it was not to much to ask after the ordeal that hashem should allow you to continue to grow and thrive with you family, share your love of torah and life insights with your family friends and fellow jews.

For many years, I have hosted rosh chodesh elul in my home as i will tomorrow night because raymond and I are also married in elul.. may you and lisa be zochech to celebrate years and years of elul anniversaries. Dance at the weddings of your children and grand-children. May the preciousness of life extend to your last breath after a full and long life like your dear uncle bill, aunt ev and your parents. May we share many smachot in good health AMEN...and if it is not too much to ask of the creator of the world
May we all and our children remain under the shelter and protection of the shechinah and see nissim v'niflaot and the coming of moshiach in our time..
With much love kim and raymond, ilana and eli, and gabriel and ariel too of course..

    Michael,
"There is compassion that feeds the ego and there is compassion that humbles it. Compassion that feeds the ego is a sense of pity for those who stand beneath you. Compassion that humbles is born of a deeper understanding of the order of things. When you understand that your fellow man is suffering in order that you may be privileged to help him - then you are truly humbled." - The Lubavitcher Rebbe
Thank G-d you're going home. We are all praying for your health. Today is especially bitter sweet for us as we lost our dear friend Chaya Malka bas Freda Leah after a 5 year struggle with cancer. As the quote of the Rebbe puts it so eloquently, our compassion for you and your struggle comes with great humility as today we have quietly lost our dear friend.
May Hashem hear our prayers and heal us all with the coming of Mashiach right away.
    Be well.
    Michael
