We (Adam and Danielle) just got back from NYC.
The surgery went very well. Everything happened as expected. He is still recovering in his hospital room and will rest up for the beginning of intense chemotherapy on Wednesday.
We spiced up the waiting room with some Pey Dalid nigguns, of course.

ReplyDeleteDear michael,
ReplyDeleteOk this is my 3rd attempt to get through, with Hashems help, I will finally get on this blog!
I awoke this morning with thoughts of you, it was early, I was looking for the sunrise!
Truth be told, you have not been far from my thoughts since I had word of your illness from our friend Andrea last week. Word got out fast, prayers were offered faster, it seeems.
Michael, you are a man loved by many, some who have known you for a lifetime and some like me who have known you but a short time.
It does not take one long though to know a great man, filled with love , laughter, joy...you.
As you begin this journey, you must know that there are many who stand beside you, many who will catch you should you fall many who will daven for you, but it is you that must climb this mountain.
so I would like to share with you something that I learned today it spoke to me...about you
The Baal Shem Tov taught that each of our lives is comprised of 42 journeys, corresponding to the 42 journeys of the Children of Israel in the Wilderness.
Some of those journeys have pleasant names. Others don't sound so nice. But none are inherently bad. It is only that you may have to dig deeper and deeper to find the purpose and the good within them.
I have a feeling that you , inherently, already know this, but Michael I also know one true thing and that is that you have the ability to dig deep, fight strong and always fight to find the purpose of the journey.
Michael, you are in our thoughts and in our prayers as are Lisa, Adam and Danielle.
WE pray for you for a speedy and full recovery.
I miss you guys at my Shabbos Table!!
Jody
Michael - you have the fire of a warrior - keep fighting - I look forward to seeing you in Israel or florida or ICSC?
